Announcement

It looks like recaptcha is easily thwarted either by cheap labor or some other means, because I am still getting tons of spam signups.

I'm closing registrations again, if you would like to register, please email me at cory.mawhorter@ephective.com and use the subject line "Forum Registration". Give me your name and all the standard stuff in that email.

I will just have to do manual registrations until I have more time to spend on this problem.

Terrible rendering...

I've tried using an OTF and a TTF copy of Bauer Bodoni, and they're both awful looking.

The last example under the OpenType Fonts is the only one I find acceptable, but it's way too big.

Re: Terrible rendering...

Also, just uploaded another test that uses fancyFonts and realFontHeight...still crap. In fact, not a single bit of difference.

This is hosted on DreamHost which should have ImageMagick enabled by default. How come I'm not seeing any difference with FancyFonts enabled?

Re: Terrible rendering...

Any ideas? I really could use some help.

I saw Cory suggest that doubling the font-size and then scaling down the image output from PHP by 50% could give some better results. But I'm not good enough with PHP to code something like that by myself.
