It looks like recaptcha is easily thwarted either by cheap labor or some other means, because I am still getting tons of spam signups.

FLIR is up and running successfully on my main page (and "About" page, etc.), but when the user clicks on a "Continue Reading" link to move to a post's full text, the resulting page is unaffected by FLIR. Do I need to manipulate the template further?

No. Flir should work wherever it is, do a view source to see if it's loaded. You're probably using the wrong CSS selector or something.

Problem solved: The single-page component was not loading the footer component or the sidebar. I placed those two commands in, and FLIR was back.
